Hercules Public Library
Our Community Living Room!

Hercules Public Library is a state-of-the-art facility built collaboratively by the City of Hercules, the State of California, and Contra Costa County. In addition, civic organizations and individuals provided substantial donations to support its construction. Like a phoenix rising, the dreams and a lot of hard work became a reality in November 2006.
The library's award winning architecture gorgeously and effectively provides library users with a diverse range of spaces. The library's 21,500 square feet include: a Teen Room, two meeting rooms, three study rooms, a Sky Garden, a Children's Garden, a children's story area called the Story Cone, a computer area, the Friends of the Hercules Library Book Store, and a reading area with comfortable seating around a fireplace.
